Outdoor dance evenings in the Várkert Bazaar

Flamenco, tango, and outdoor dance evenings will be held between 23 July and 2 August in the courtyard of Öntőház, in Várkert Bazaar.

The Duna Art Ensemble will be presenting two performances in the Várkert Bazaar. One of them, Szerelemkert (Garden of Love), is a compilation of their most successful choreographies, and the other is Tavaszi szél (Spring Wind), which recalls the outstanding days of the spring.

Tango theatre on summer evenings

As part of the summer nights outdoor programme series of the dance theatre, the audience will be able to get a taste of tango by watching the performances of László Budai and his guests as well as “conTangos” Tango Dance Theatre and “Oblivion” by the Momentango Tango Company.

The flamenco night performances of FlamenCorazonArte Dance theatre, the Tapas de Flamenco and the FlamenColores groups will lead the audience to the world of musical motifs and rythms that originate in the Arabic, Jewish, Indian and Roma cultures. The Sivasakti Kalánanda Dance Theatre will be presenting the ‘TálaMantra – Indian dance images’ performance at the Dance Bazaar, which includes classical Indian dance techniques as well as modern choreographies.

The extraordinary performance ‘Mur mur de la Mediterranée / Bolero’ by the Budapest Dance Theatre creates a Mediterranean and classical atmosphere, while the production called ‘Prozódia’ by János Feledi – the Feledi Project – and the Trio a lá Kodály will show visitors not only contemporary dance and Hungarian contemporary chamber music but also the world of progressive jazz.
